DIAMOND GENERATIONS
George Moriarty, third baseman
and manager of the Detroit Tigers and a long-time American League umpire, visited Renfrew
Park last night, only to have the scheduled action between Lloydminster and the Eskimos
washed out. Now the head scout of the Tigers, George has a son, Dave, who now plays
right field for the Meridians. Left to right are Meridians' president and general
