With the demise of the Western Canada Baseball League, Lloydminster would soldier on with an entry in the Northern Saskatchewan League. 

The GreenCaps, with Curly Williams at the helm, finished in the middle of the pack in their initial season.

 Southern Alberta Baseball :

(August 9)   Lethbridge White Sox scored five runs in the first inning and held on for a 6-4 exhibition win over Vauxhall Jets. Don Passuto pitched a six-hitter for the win.  He compiled 14 strikeouts. Mike Vaselenak had three hits for the winners and Bert Nyrose added a triple and single.  Floyd Anderson of the Jets had the only homer. 

(August 15)  George Wesley's Granum White Sox trounced Jocko Tarnava's Lethbridge White Sox 16-3 in an exhibition match.  Willie Walasko allowed just seven hits over the eight innings he worked to pick up the win.  Ken Hutton finished up.  Gordon Vejprava led the attack with four safeties.  Harry Blacker had three hits while Hans Pung, Bill Fennessey, John Elick and Jerry Selva each had a pair.  Al Passuto, the loser pitcher, and Mike Vaselenak each had two hits for Lethbridge.
