WESTERN CANADA LEAGUE
Young Jack Fournier of Moose Jaw was the class of the hitters of the 1911 Western Canada League. The 21-year-old catcher finished second in the race for the batting title with a .377 average while leading the circuit in runs, 106, hits, 149, 28 doubles and 19 triples. With 33 stolen bases he was 4th in the league. William "Obie" O'Brien of Calgary topped Fournier, with a .392 mark, to finish with the highest average..
Alfred Narveson of the Robin Hoods was the leading hurler with 25 victories in 258 innings of work. Teammate Joseph Collins was a 23-game winner, whle Ferdy Manning and Pete Standridge, both of Calgary, also recorded 20 wins.

(b) White's line is the most obvious error. He is listed with just two hits, but 11 extra base hits

and the averages resulting from the at bats and hits shown. Collins had a .294 published mark
but his at bats and hits would bring a .298 average. Walsh is at .291, but would have finished
at .289 if the at bat and hit figures are correct. Bell is shown at .221, but the calculation
