(September 2) Lelands cinched the City League baseball championship Saturday defeating the second place Shamrocks 2-0 behind a superb one-hit pitching effort by Ross who struck out nine with no free passes. Catcher Harkness led the winners with two safe swats.

(September 16) In another outstanding mound show, Lelands blanked the Crescents 1-0. The lone marker came in the seventh inning as Picton slugged a double and scored on a hard-hit single by Harkness. Ross tossed the shutout for the winners with Nevilles of the Crescents taking the tough loss.
