

Jerry Cummings, of the Saskatoon Elks, 
  was the leading hurler in the 1924 
  Saskatoon City League. In one of his 
  starts, the Star-Phoenix had this to say 
  about his mound effort :

We have not located the final pitching statistics 
  for the league but our records show Cummings
with a 13-4 won-lost mark during the regular 
season. He appeared in 18 games, made 16
starts, 15 of them complete games. 
He also helped with the bat. Cummings, in 80
  at bats hit a solid .275 and led the league in
  home runs, with three.
