SOUTHERN LEAGUE
Ned Andreoni was the batting story of the 1969 Southern League. The Moose Jaw shortstop ran away with the batting championship compiling a .380 mark over 100 at bats. He also led in runs batted in, with 25, and tied Wayne Commodore of Swift Current for the most homers, each with 6.
Andreoni's teammate, Jim Booth, was the runnerup with a .348 average, just a point ahead of Gord Johnston of Melville. Ed Stefureak, also of the Millionaires, was next, at .338. Barrie Day of the Regals was tops in runs scored, with 26, and speedster Bev Hickie of Melville swiped the most bases, 11.
With a 6-1, won-lost mark, Dale Hogg of Moose Jaw was the top hurler in the circuit. Les Wall of Swift Current posted the best earned run average, 2.12. Hogg finished at 3.18. Gary Brunetti of Yorkton was the workhorse with 92 innings pitched. He also led in strikeouts, 60, walks, 52, and losses, 8.

NORTHERN SASKATCHEWAN LEAGUE
A pair of Neilburg Monarchs finished one-two in the 1969 batting race. Rich Householder, with a .403 average, took the crown over Neil Urlacher, at .372. Pete Duncan of North Battleford had a .400 average but fell four plate appearances short of qualifying for the title. Greg Dvorak, the pitching star of the summer, finished third with a .370 percentage. Duncan and teammate Cam Sternig tied for the lead in home runs, each with 5. Sternig's 34 runs batted in topped the loop. Jim Johnston of the Beavers led in runs, 36, and stolen bases, 15.
Dvorak had a sensational summer finishing with an undefeated 12-0 mark, a league-leading 130 strikeouts, and second-best ERA, 1.76. Larry Haylor of Unity posted a 1.72 earned run average.

ALBERTA MAJOR BASEBALL LEAGUE
Edmonton Oilers slugging hurler Don Kadatz is the batting champion of the 1969 Alberta Major Baseball League. Kadatz, with one plate appearance over the minimum required to qualify for the title, finished with a .356 average, 11 points up on Rich Dawson of the Calgary Odeons, and 14 points ahead of Drumheller's Gordie Tucker. Frank Ketcham of the Tigers and Ed Ashton of the Oilers rounded out the top five. Tucker led in hits, 39, while Ketcham was tops in total bases, 55. Bob McGeachie of the Odeons had the most home runs, 4, and Don Darling of the Angels led in thefts, with 18.
Bill Chahley of the Tigers retained the pitching crowd for the third straight season winning seven of eight decisions and finishing with a league-leading earned run average of 1.74. However, Howard Hunchak of the Miners was best in four key categories, with nine wins, 113 innings pitched, 8 complete games and 100 strikeouts. Don Pasutto of Drumheller finished with a 7-2 record.

MANITOBA SENIOR LEAGUE
Outfielder Barry Moffatt of the Riverside Canucks, with at least one hit in every game, ran away with the batting crown in the Manitoba Senior League (West Division) finishing with a .481 mark well ahead of the runner-up, Bob Garcia of Dauphin Redbirds. Norm Hemstad of Virden was third, at. 348. Moffatt also led the circuit in hits, 51, and runs scored, 29.
Three hurlers, Dick Limke of Souris, Glennis Scott of Hamiota and Brian Hodgson of Brandon tied for the most wins, each with 7. Hodgson had the most innings, 104, and Jim Southworth, the California import from the University of Southern California, was tops in strikeouts with 120 in 99 innings of work.
In the East Division, Gerry Brisson of St. Boniface ran away with the batting title hitting .474, albeit in just 38 at bats. Teammate Jack Ritchie was the runner-up at .431. Rick Cruise of Balmoral led the pitchers with 6 wins and no loses while Brock McConachy of Transcona posted the best ERA, 0.30 edging out Bill MacNamee of St. Boniface at 0.40.

Bob McKillop, the Kitchener Panthers' playing manager topped the hitters in the Intercounty League with a .381 average, six points ahead of fellow catcher Wayne Fenlon of the London Pontiacs. Ty Crawford of London was right behind at .372.
Paul Knight of Kitchener, with a 10-1 record, had the most pitching victories and the best winning percentage. Dan Camp of Listowel finished with the best ERA, 1.05 while Camp's teammate, Bill McAlpine led in innings, 98, and strikeouts, 99.

BASIN LEAGUE
Jim Burton of Winner was the clear pitching champion in the 1969 Basin League. The left-hander from the University of Michigan topped the circuit in wins, 11, innings pitched, 128, and strikeouts, 174. Mike Caldwell of Pierre copped the ERA title with a sterling 1.67 mark. Dave Allen of Mobridge finished at 2.31 and Burton was third, at 2.32.
Bill Bright of Mobridge led the hitters, finishing atop the batting race with a .384 average, beating a pair of Rapid City Chiefs, Ron Ellis at .379 and Sam Ewing at .352. Dave Heiss of the Chiefs and Bill Stearns of Chamberlain tied for the led in home runs, each with 11. Bright had the most RBI, 60.

VICTORIA SENIOR AMATEUR LEAGUE
The top two teams in the Victoria Senior Amateur League dominated the final statistics. Barry Harvey of the second place Transport Workers captured the battling title, edging out Craig Lawrence of the Independants .344 to .342. Transport had five of the top ten hitters. Pennant winning Greaves Movers had two hitters in the top ten and had three of the top eight hurlers with George Hemming, with an 8-1 record, and Les Brice, at 8-2, leading the way.

OKANAGAN MAINLINE LEAGUE
Vernon infielder Wayne Dye is the batting champion of the Okanagan Mainline League for the 1969 season. Dye finished with a .382 average to top teammate Jerry Reimer for the bat crown. Jack Burton of Kelowna at .464 and Don Archer of Vernon, with a .386 mark, finished ahead of Dye but did not get enough at bats to qualify for the title. Reimer led the league in home runs, eight, and runs batted in, 22. Archer had six homers and tied teammate Russ Keckalo for second in RBI with 20.
Among pitchers with more than 50 innings, Reg Main of Vernon led with an earned run average of 1.83 just a fraction lower than teammate Bob Davisson at 1.84. Main (9-1) had the most wins while Davisson (7-0) sported the best percentage.
